FFFMILANO SPIN-OFF

Fashion Film Festival Milano makes its Spin Off during the White Street Market with a three days event focusing on Urban Culture and Sustainable Fashion education.

Along these three days of activities FFFMilano Spin Off will curate a programme of Screenings and Conversations.

 

  • SATURDAY January 12th

11.30 AM: Fashion film capsule “Urban Storytelling”, a curated selection of 20 fashion films that represent international brands and urban realities of the fashion system.

5 PM: “We Margiela”, a documentary that explores the unique story and creative processes of one of the most influential fashion houses worldwide. The screening will be introduced by the Festival’s curator and editor at large of i-D Magazine, Gloria Maria Cappelletti.

 

  • SUNDAY  January 13th

11.30 AM: FFFMilano’s 2018 Winners. The winning fashion films of the past edition will be introduced by the director Giulia Achenza, the first Italian winner of the Festival.

The rest of the day is dedicated to Sustainable Culture starting at 2.30 PM with the screening of the capsule “Back to nature” which includes some of the most relevant fashion films by sustainable fashion brands.

5 PM: The awarded documentary “RiverBlue”. The film investigates the extreme water pollution caused by fast fashion and the harm caused to the most important rivers worldwide. The screening will follow a Q&A with Marina Spadafora (Fashion Revolution Italia), Luigi Caccia (founder and president of Italdenim) and Matteo Ward (founder of the sustainable brand WRÅD).

 

  • MONDAY January 14th

2 PM: “Fashion storytelling through the moving image”, an occasion to better understand the world of fashion films and how fashion is using this innovative storytelling medium in order to express its values at its best. The screening will be an overview of the main international fashion brands and how they use different storytelling languages. The screening will be introduced by Constanza Cavalli Etro (founder and director of FFFMilano), Gloria Maria Cappelletti (curator of FFFMilano, editor at large of i-D Magazine) and Clara Del Nero (Artistic Director of FFFMilano).
