Fashion Film Festival Milano

In 2014 Constanza Cavalli Etro created the first edition of Fashion Film Festival Milano, an international multi-platform project of fashion and cinema with an unparalleled access to luxury brands and creators all around the world. More than 1000 fashion films from 58 countries are submitted every edition to an inclusive and high-quality festival where “the Big helps the Small” involving the most prestigious international names in the world of fashion, cinema and art, hand in hand with emerging talents from all over the world. Names like Franca Sozzani, Giorgio Armani, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Marcelo Burlon, Harris Reed, Lachlan Watson, Laura Brown, or Awards winners directors and creators such as Luca Guadagnino, Francesco Carrozzini, Tim Yip, Anna Lilly Amirpour, Win Wenders, Bruno Aveillan, Sean Baker, Claudia LLosa, Matteo Garrone, Spike Lee, Rankin, Spike Jones, Cass Bird, Nadia Lee Cohen, Lisa Vreelan, Frederic Tcheng are just a few names who have joined the initiative.

Constanza is a board member of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana’s Fashion Trust.

Her expertise, experience, know how and vision made her a member of the Jury within relevant events: Black Carpet Awards 2023 – Photo Vogue 2023 – Photo Vogue 2023 – Accademia Del Profumo Awards 2023 – Le Book Connections 2022/2021/20219/2018 – Grand Prix Luxury Cristal Festival Courchevel 2017.

Constanza was a speaker at Decoded Fashion Milano, Fashion & Technology Summit of Luisa Via Roma, Vogue Italia Conversations. In 2021 she spoke at the HUB-E conference, the first sustainability hub in Italy within the #ALL4CLIMATE ITALY and held various masterclasses and conferences at the Accademia Costume e Moda, IED University, the Marangoni University, the Brera University, the NABA University, the International Academy of Cinema of Bologna, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and at the University of Tokyo. Over the past years, the Fashion Film Festival Milano created and curated several fashion film exhibitions at the Triennale di Milano in Milan 2022, at the MIAC in Rome 2022 and at the MAO the Oriental Arts Museum in Turin in 2018. Constanza created the world’s first Fashion Film pop up Channel: the “Fashion Film Festival Milano Channel” hosted by Discovery Channel’s platform “D-play” in 2016.

In 2018 she received the MCFW Fashion Award for her contribution to the Fashion World and her support to young talents, given by the Monaco Fashion Chamber and Monaco’s Prime Minister, she was photographed in the book “Circle of Love” created by Sheikha Intisar Al-Sabah of Kuwait, published by Assouline as one of the women who are changing fashion and has been nominated by Forbes magazine as one of the 100 successful women of 2020 in Italy.

Constanza is now participating in the “Mentorship Milano 2023”, a project of the Municipality of Milan to support young women.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1991 Constanza moved with her family to Mexico City, where she hosted a television show and founded CavalliCommunicacion, the most important communication agency in Latin America, organize the first Argentine Film Festival and the Latin American Film Festival. She was one of the founders and fashion director of Fashion Week Mexico.
In 2006, she married Italian designer Kean Etro and moved to Milan where they live until now.



Latin American Fashion Awards

Constanza co-founded together with Silvia Arguello the first ever Latin American Fashion Awards, which will take place in November 2023 celebrating Latin talent within the fashion industry. An unprecedented fashion and cultural biennial project that provides a global platform for the promotion of Latin American Talent and supports the development of the Orange Economy in the region. An international event of worldwide excellence with two headquarters, the Dominican Republic and Milano; the patronage of the First Lady of the Dominican Republic, Mme. Raquel Arbaje; the sponsorship of, amongst others, Grupo Punta Cana, Casa de Campo Resorts and Ron Barceló in the host country; the support of key Latin American business leaders and global partners.
