In the screening room of WSM Fashion Film Festival Milano presents its event Spin Off, with a special programme of contents focused on Urban Culture and on the Sustainable Culture education, as for instance the #FFFMilanoForGreen project, that became one of the gems of the Festival. During the three days of activities FFFMilano Spin Off will curate a programme of Screenings and Conversations open to the audience with the participation of relevant personalities in the world of fashion, cinema and culture that will be share their thoughts in dialogue with the audience.

Writer/director Crystal Moselle immersed herself in the lives of the skater girls and worked closely with them, resulting in the film’s authenticity, which combines poetic, atmospheric filmmaking and hypnotic skating sequences. SKATE KITCHEN precisely captures the experience of women in male-dominated spaces and tells a story of a girl who learns the importance of camaraderie and self-discovery.

A curated screening that presents the acclaimed winners of 2018 after four months since the conclusion of the fifth edition of the Festival. The screening will be introduced by a conversation with the director Giulia Achenza, the first Italian winner of the Festival.

Following the launch of #FFFMilanoForGreen, that aims at educating about sustainable fashion, the Festival presents a curated screening dedicated to the most relevant fashion films that show different brands focused on the issue of sustainability.

A dedicated moment focused on the discovery of fashion film and how fashion employs this innovative medium in order to express certain values. The special screening of the capsule “Fashion Storytelling through moving image” will be an overview on the main fashion brands worldwide and on the use of different storytelling languages. The screening will be introduced by a conversation with Constanza Cavalli Etro (founder and director of FFFMilano), Gloria Maria Cappelletti (curator of FFFMilano, editor at large of i-D Magazine) and Clara Del Nero (Artistic Director of FFFMilano).
