MESSY MASSAGE CLASS

Messy Massage Class is a dance film exploring interactions between undefined creatures. The curious beings embodied by the dancers, display unique individual behaviours, resembling that of slightly disoriented fauna reacting to earthly currents and displacement in an unfamiliar, typically human post-industrial setting. The physical language, with whi ch the creatures communicate, through bursts of frenetic, sensual and comical movements are delivered through contact improvisation dance techniques. The somewhat unsettling mood is supported by the aesthetic choices, such as the concealed body parts, dishevelled hairy masks and the sculptured silhouettes of the costumes created by Henrik Vibskov.
