COUPLES

Converse continues its celebration of self-expression with a tribute to five creative couples from around the world, in partnership with Nowness. The film tells the stories of couples who love and create together. People complementing , completing or disrupting each other. Inspiring each other every day.

The interactive film features musicians Raquel Berrios and Luis Alfredo Del Valle ‘Buscabulla’, graffiti artists Amuse126 and Merlot, drag queens Nathaniel Visneaskus (Mocha Lite) and Ryan Skilton (Misty Meaner), stylists Alison Isbell & Blake Burkholder, and Brazilian dancers Junio Teixeira and Ana Luizi, and explores the individual ways the couples’ love and create as one.

The bond of the couples is visualized with an interactive sliding functionality that allows viewers to move the pictures seamlessly between each person. The interactivity highlights the connection between the two people; their love strengthened by a combined pursuit of creative expression.

Since Spring 2015, Converse has been exploring stories of self-expression and creativity told through the lens of the Chuck Taylor All Star. Every pair of Chucks tells a story. Every scuff, scribble and paint drop marks their life adventures. The ‘Couples’ film celebrates these stories of love and creative expression.
