A statement or a maxima that describes you

“I am a lie who always speaks the truth”

Do you feel in love?

Love only knows!

Why have you chosen to develop a career in the world of moving image?

Because I couldn’t stand still.

Which director is a source of inspiration for you?

Jean Cocteau, for his ability to bridge worlds together.

What do you think about the relation between Fashion and Cinema? In what way do you think fashion film could help both industries?

There have been many interesting examples of interactions between fashion and cinema. For instance, Audrey Hepburn, Hubert de Givenchy and Billy Wilder did a fantastic work together – they invented a certain woman. Fashion films bring down boundaries between different fields and engage them in a dialogue, hence its terrific potential for innovation.

Look back at your past experiences: do you have a particular job or story to share with us?

I spent an unforgettable night at MoMA playing with two skateboards and a pair of socks, animating them in a video-romance with Pollock, Brancusi and Monet as stakeholders.

Do you have a special figure, a company or a group you would like to meet and work with?

Rei Kawakubo and Vivienne Westwood.

How do you see yourself in 10 years?

Older.

I’m a director, and that’s what I want to be. I’m still at the start of my career, so I still have a lot to do and to learn. I’m working on my first feature film now, when I’ve finished that project, I’ll be a director for real.
