I feel in like, which is more important.

Why have you chosen to develop a career in the world of moving image?

Since childhood.  My father was a brilliant photographer and I was exposed to this world from an early age. Began making films at 16 – has been part of my life forever.

Which director is source of inspiration for you?

Fellini, Cocteau, Jacque Tourneur and  Val Lewton, Jacques Tati, Todd Browning.

What do you think about the relation between Fashion and Cinema? In what way do you think fashion films could help both industries?

We are what we wear. It is always present, if somewhat unconscious and invisible, like sound. Fashion cinema points to this.

Look back at your past experiences: do you have a particular job or story to share with us?

I have been teaching interdisciplinary performance for the past 20 years. It pays back a karmic debt because I am very impassioned about my students’ work.

Do you have a special figure, a company or a group you would like to meet and work with?

not particularly.

How do you see yourself in 10 years?

A bit older. Hopefully, not much.

Tell us something about your experience at Fashion Film Festival Milano.

I have enjoyed having films in this Festival for several years, and truly appreciate the open-mindedness and experimentalism of the Festival.
