If you can be whatever you want, what would you be?

I’m a director, and that’s what I want to be. I’m still at the start of my career, so I still have a lot to do and to learn. I’m working on my first feature film now, when I’ve finished that project, I’ll be a director for real.

Can you talk about your 5 favourite habit?

(My own favorite habits? Or favorite habits in someone else?) My favorite habits are my worst too. I’m stubborn, curious, impatient, observing and playful.

Why have you chosen to develop a career in the world of moving images?

It comes natural to me, as I’ve been creating stories and working with photography, video and theater since I was a little girl. I’m obsessed with the power of film, to condense the beautiful and weird of reality and put them in my own fictional world.

Which director is source of inspiration for your vision?

Francois Ozon is one of my absolute favorites.

What do you think about the relation between Fashion and Cinema? In what way do you think fashion film could help both of the industries?

For me they go hand in hand quite naturally, both being about characters, storytelling and esthetics.

Look back at your past experiences: do you have a particular job or story to share with us?

I love working on guerrilla kind of productions, small crew/cast, and just shoot whatever you can get your hands on, like we did on Burning Oceans Into Deserts

Do you have a special figure, a company or a group you would meet and work?

Oh so many! Jeremy Scott is a designer I would love to work with, his work is so fun and bold. As actresses I would be so thrilled to one day have Grace Jones or Julianne Moore on my set.

How do you see yourself in 10 years?

As a film director, having made several feature films and series, and maybe as a teacher in an art school.

Tell us something about your Fashion Film Festival Milano’ s experience.

I had the best time last year on the festival, met some very inspiring makers and thinkers.
