TITLE GHOST STORIES
DIRECTOR Marcel Becker-Neu
BRAND Sarah Frede
COUNTRY Germany
The fashion collection GHOST STORIES by Sarah Frede is questioning the linearity of time and the boundaries of real versus digital experience.
In a world where digital technologies lead to a total collapse of time and space, we don’t experience a continuing reality anymore.
The specter marks, like the agency of the virtual, an in-between-state, a force without a physical existence. To follow this principle, the collection mixes fragments of 3D scanned clothes and builds a narrative of unusual textiles, organic shapes and vibrant prints. A fashion film with a strong, dreamlike visual language navigating past and future.

DIRECTOR Sofia Daidone

According to the Focaultian concept of heterotropy, a given place is understood as a counter-place, an absolutely other space where the contemporary human individual locates himself. An elsewhere without a precise place that plays the role of contesting the real spaces that the human being actually inhabits.
The narrative path thus explores the development of human identity in relation to the surrounding context; a context that evolves from an anthropological place to a non-place, to finally become a simple other space.
In the contemporary scenario now dominated by abstract and transitory values, the crisis of physical presence is in fact becoming more and more entrenched. The new presence has slipped into the digital sphere, in an immense context that leaves the individual unable to define himself in a stable and lasting way. The new human identity thus becomes a fail, an entity constantly changing and exploring boundaries that it continues to cross and transcend. An error that stems from the perennial dissatisfaction arising from the potentially infinite exploratory possibilities of the individual himself. These reflections led to fail 2.0(20), a montage of video clips and editorial shots inspired by the conceptual works of Jon Rafman and Michael Wolf, the fashion of the Italian brand Reamerei and a narrative aesthetic linked to the world of Demna Gvasalia between Vetements and Balenciaga. The project aims to narrate the new contemporary human identity as an alien of itself; alienated and unable to define itself in another space to which it can never really belong.

TITLE MODEL MASKS
DIRECTOR Anna Kossman
BRAND /
COUNTRY Italy/Brazil
“Model masks”, a fashion film about the struggles of models caused by their industry. Due to the over glamorization of the fashion and modeling industry, normalized issues are concealed.
This clip has the aim of putting in focus how this industry oppresses models. Forcing normal characteristics, that form an individual, to be criticized and hidden by the ones who ‘know what’s best for their career’. Style, sexuality, age, and food preferences will be the ones discussed.
However, in most cases what’s better for a model’s career isn’t necessarily what’s best for them as individuals. This intervention creates a lack of barriers and confusion. As models are the actual product being sold, such suggestions affect them professionally and personally.
In addition, models tend to start their careers around the age of 14 – 17, the age of formation. Such changes required by agencies, ones that technically form a model, can become irreversible and deviate the natural course of self-discovery all teenagers go through.
For survival, he or she is forced to create a ‘model mask’, thus creating MODEL MONSTERS, the creatures models are allowed to show the world in order to follow the guides of their career supervisors and hopefully make their dreams come true.

This video takes us into the kind of place only a metropolis of the future like Shanghai can invent: a ranch on a rooftop, horses rearing up against the open skies between the buildings.
As we flow into the future unseen, our vision evolves and so too does the landscape, turning into the unfamiliar and the anticipatory. This too is our last dance with life, our last connection to a nature we no longer feel around us and a future that may not exist.

TITLE LOOK BACK ANOUK
DIRECTORS Rocco Gurrieri, Irene Montini
BRAND Salvatore Ferragamo
COUNTRY Italy
This short film directed by young directors Rocco Gurrieri and Irene Montini and produced by Salvatore Ferragamo draws its inspiration from the figurative world of the scarves created by Fulvia Ferragamo as well as from animated films by Czechoslovakian director Jiří Trnka, whose patchwork flower puppets suggested the figurative style of early Ferragamo prints. A lonely girl in a palace suspended between sky and sea slips tenderly into the emptiness of her days, secretly composing a variety of fantastical worlds in which she may abandon herself to her fantasies. Look Back Anouk is not just a title, it is an invitation to both the protagonist and the audiences to look back, recognize themselves and welcome the gentle, crystalline irrationality of childhood. Human and animal characters are the ones who drag us on these unusual journeys with a melancholic taste. Curious and a little lost they swim among the pages of strange stories, catapulted perhaps by mistake into the upside of reality, where dreams rest. The visions and sensations that torment Anouk making her predict the arrival of something mysterious and unknowable, they are nothing more than messengers and heralds in celebration, anxious for the vibrant ritual that is celebrated among the flowers of the forest. A magical and audacious strength is really revealed to her. Once the night is over, the dances are silenced and the fears are extinguished, all that remains is to to rock and shine with life, “Like tears, crying for their own shame”.
TITLE CYSHION WORLD
DIRECTOR Aydin Rezazade
BRAND Fahan
COUNTRY Iran
At the end of civilization, the fashion industry got stuck with cutting edge machines in order to survive. These machines created a new generation of fashion called CYSHION (Cyborg+Fashion).
Based on an essay by Donna Haraway, the interaction between humans and technology has reached a stage where old boundaries like man & machine, man are old. Based on this view, I decided to use it on people and fashion to come up with a new concept.
“Cyshion’s” theory will establish a futuristic lifestyle by changing the current view of design and style. An example from this concept is the surrounding cloth to use the unstable structure of neutron particles in an atomic nucleus to overcome galactic forces and to facilitate life on other planets.
