The founder of Osklen, pioneer of sustainable fashion and lifestyle, tells his story to the audience of FFFMilano in dialogue with Hakan Karaosman, Fashion sustainability expert. The conversation is a chance to deeply investigate what sustainability means today for the world of fashion and for the relationship between human being and nature. The dialogue will be introduced by the premiere of the documentary “ASAP – As Sustainable As Possible, As Soon As Possible”.

Oskar’s constant need for experimentation and alifestyle in touch with the city, nature and the arts are the main sources of inspiration of hiscreative process.Oskar Metsavaht is internationally renowned as one of the forerunners of the New Luxuryconcept that advocates conscious fashion and sustainable luxury. Oskar is also the founder and president of Instituto-E, which promotes sustainable human development and encourages socio-environmental practices through awareness, projects and network management.
Artista con una laurea in medicina, Oskar Metsavaht è il fondatore e direttore creativo di Osklen. È direttore creativo di OM.art, il suo studio d’arte e progetti speciali. Le principali ispirazioni per il processo creative di Oskar son oil costante bisogno di sperimentazione e uno stile di vita in contatto con la città, la natura e le arti. Metsavaht è internazionalmente riconosciuto come uno dei precursori del concetto del Nuovo Lusso, che sostiene la moda consapevole e il lusso sostenibile. Oskar è anche fondatore e presidente di Instituto-E, che promuove lo sviluppo umano sostenibile e incoraggia pratiche socio-ambientali attraverso sensibilizzazione, progetti e creazione di network.
Sustainability management professional, HAKAN KARAOSMAN is a post-doctoral researcher at Politecnico di Milano with a driven focus toward sustainability integration in fashion supply chain management. He holds BSc. in Environmental Engineering and MSc. in Management in Engineering of Energy and Environment, and double degree Ph.D. in Industrial Management. He has written papers for journals such as Journal of Fashion Marketing and Management, Sustainability and Business Process Management Journals, as well as various book chapters, international conference papers and practitioner-oriented reports.
HAKAN KARAOSMAN, professionista nel management della sostenibilità, è un ricercatore post-dottorato presso il politecnico di Milano con focus verso l’integrazione della sostenibilità nella catena di approvvigionamento della moda. Ha conseguito una laurea triennale in ingegneria ambientale, un master in Ingegneria dell’energia e dell’ambiente e un doppio dottorato in gestione industriale. Ha scritto articoli per riviste come Journal of Fashion Marketing Management, sustainability e il Business Process Management Journals, nonchè vari capitoli di libri, articoli di conferenze internazionali e relazioni orientate ai professionisti.
