Caroline Corbetta

Art Curator

Born in Milan, Caroline focuses her activity on the crossover of different fields – especially, on the hybridity of art alongside fashion and design. Caroline mostly works as a freelance curator, and she has two main fascinations: spreading contemporary art to a wider audience and finding emerging talents – among her “discoveries” there are Nathalie Djurberg and Ragnar Kjartansson, spotted during the curation of the Nordic Countries pavilion at the Biennale in 2004.
Thanks to an inclusive and wide gaze, she efficiently held the artistic direction for the institutional pavilion Expo Gate, for Expo Milano 2015, and for the project IL CREPACCIO, a showcase for young artists, that has now left its historic headquarter to find its place on Instragram @ilcrepaccio.

While collaborating with local art stars Maurizio Cattelan and Francesco Vezzoli, Caroline keeps on scouting young artists; furthermore, other than curating exhibitions and public projects for companies and international institutions such as the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and Performa New York, Caroline also writes exhibition catalogues and articles for magazines such as Vogue Italia, Domus, L’Uomo Vogue, Ventiquattro (Il Sole 24 Ore), Rolling Stone, Frieze, Flash Art, Mousse.
